Hi everyone!

We often add a recommended resource call to action at the end of posts. Currently, we're manually adding various blurb to the ends of various posts but we'd like to streamline it.

Do you know of a plugin or something else that would make it easier to insert the call to action? Maybe something that includes a list of your most frequently used calls to action where you could use a shortcode or, even better, to choose them from a list?

Hmmm... Now that I think of it, we have the Post Snippets plugin, which might do that if nobody has a better suggestion.

Thoughts, anyone?

Thanks!

Michael

There's a simple plugin called Add Sig that will add any text or html.. There is a primary one that will appear at the end of every post and then there are several custom ones that only appear where you put a tag. The only problem with it is that it uses a tag surrounded by <> instead of the standard [] shortcodes. The tags don't work in the visual editor.

Awesome! I've been messing around for the longest time with trying to code something for this. Thanks for the plugin suggestion Christine :)

Great question. We've received approval from WP.org recently to add one of our plugins to their repository that does something similar. It's called Single Post Ads. While it doesn't let you pre-program a list of common CTA's (yet) I created it exactly for the same reasons. There are only certain posts I want this CTA on and I wanted it fully customize-able. So the CTA can appear on only one or only the specific posts I choose. Once it is uploaded to WP.org I'll post the link here.

I'm currently using this quite a bit on my own TechBasedMarketing blog. Michael's suggestions are great and I'll be looking to adding it in the next update cycle.
