Hey -
We've made big changes to the MyNAMS forum (http://community.mynams.com/forum.php) this weekend. Most were in the background to improve performance and get rid of the moderation problems we were having. You will only notice a couple of improvements on the surface I hope.
This is an effort to continue to make the MyNAMS forum (http://community.mynams.com/forum.php) one of the best marketing forums out there with real instructional value just like the NAMS workshop (http://nams.ws/nams).
There are two big ones:
We've added Facebook to the options...
Posts, threads, blogs can be published to FB immediately There's a little checkbox next to the "Submit Button" below to allow you to submit your post to Facebook. Have at it.
Each thread, post will have a Facebook "Like" button
Please use the Like button.
I'm not sure how our new integration with aMember and aWeber impacts the Facebook integration. But we'll find out over time I guess. If you have issues connecting to Facebook, let me know with a support ticket a Index of / (http://NAMSsupport.com) or send me a private message here.
Why did we add the Facebook infor to the forum. First, cause we could. Second, because using the Facebook platform will get more traffic to the forum and to NAMS.
Now, this works for the forum but also for the CMS or the Members Home section too.
So, when you post an article or make a blog post in your member's blog (and everyone gets one - you just have to write a post), it will be posted to Facebook automatically. At least, that's the plan.
Let me know if you have issues.
The second is that as I'm writing this, we're installing an SEO plugin...
...specific to this forum platform that we'll be tweaking for days to enable the best SEO possible for the forum. We want Google and other search engines to crawl the forum as much as possible.
The URLs in the forum will change to keyword specific URLs - much like the posts in your wordpress blog.
Truthfully, I'm not quite sure how it will change the forum user interface yet until we get all the tweaks done, but I'd love your feedback.
Thanks.
David
