You Give and You Get

Giving is the easy part, sometimes I think receiving can elude us. A big win for me recently was being contacted by a cross stitch magazine to be featured as an expert. It's nice to be called an expert by such an authority :o With so many things going on in my space this month it was nice to have that little victory tucked away in the back of my mind, it pulled me through the week :)

This instance is just a one time interview, but I'm keeping my eyes open for a more long term opportunity down the road ;)

It's actually a UK magazine ... I asked if they would send me a copy when they run the interview, but I haven't heard back for sure yet.

You are so right in regards to being good receivers. I still struggle with that, but over time I have been much more willing to reach out to others and ask for help.

How exciting :) Congratulations.
Another good point is that sometimes you have to toot your own horn a bit and work on promoting your site. Get your readers (your raving fans) to talk about you on forums, social media etc. Not only will you get more traffic, but you may also be found by traditional media like the magazine in your case.
