My Thing Is Audio

Hey Everyone - Just back from NAMS7 and trying to get acquainted with the forums (fora?). My area of expertise is audio. I show folks how to record and produce professional sounding audio easily, quickly, and for the least cost. I can talk about mics, interfaces, software, techniques and lots of of other audio-related stuff. I do both voice-overs and music myself, so I'm able to provide advice in pretty much all areas of recording.

Think I might need your help one of these days Ken. I am not the best when it comes to audio - do you know much about soundflower?

Hi Deborah - Sorry it took so long to reply. I've actually never used Soundflower, possibly because I Dont' have a Mac. But it's designed to let multiple applications on your computer interact with each other via the built-in sound card. This can be handy if you have multiple audio applications open at the same time, like audio recording software, editing software, a media player, etc. They can share the sound card. This can be helpful if, say, recording a Skype conversation. You could record both voices instead of just yours (or theirs).
