Hi everyone.

I'm brand spankin' new.... a real newbie.

I've been interesting in getting into internet marketing for some time now, and finally decided to take the plunge.

Was a member of the recent 'Independence' webinar program, which I thoroughly enjoyed. So much information - my head is spinning a little.

I believe I've definitely made the right decision... I'm feeling rather obsessed with everything at this point in time and don't much want to do anything but read and learn about internet marketing!

I'm trying to figure out a good niche for myself. I've been considering a few possibilities and have been following along with the guidelines in Kevin Riley's Clockwork Recipe for Mini Affiliate Cash Sites. All was going smoothly until I got to the section were I'm to check the backlink status of the top 3 ranked competitor sites via Yahoo Site Explorer. After some head scratching and Google searching, I realized that since last November Yahoo Site Explorer is 'no longer with us'.

Can anybody suggest what is used 'post Yahoo Site Explorer' to do this checking of backlinks? Preferably something cheap (free is even better) and straightforward. Please & Thanks!

Thanks Christine. I submitted the request. After googling around, I stumbled across Link Diagnosis and managed to use it fairly successfully to get the backlink info I needed. One thing though... thank goodness my malware was working because it stopped about 4 different malware attempts while I was checking various sites. Makes me think it's not always such a good think to use these free service sites. I'll definitely checkout Market Samurai, and your blog post. I appreciate your response.
